October 11, 2022 News and Notes

  • North America is in the middle of hosting the 2022 League of Legends World Championships.
  • They're in the group phase, and the biggest story of Weekend #1 of the Group Phase is the North American LCS...
  • ZERO AND NINE FOR THE WEEKEND!!!!  The LCS has already been knocked down from three full spots to two and a spot in the play-ins.  Another cut next year?
  • Dustin Johnson, the individual season winner of the Saudi Blood Money Tour, pocketed over $30,000,000 in prize money alone this season.  More than his last four PGA Tour full seasons COMBINED.
  • One Kansas City amusement park has banned Davante Adams from it's grounds for last night's shove of an NFL cameraman.
  • Add Angela Lansbury to "Fuck 2022" list of deaths.
  • Tulsi Gabbard has quit the Democratic Party over wokeness.  She agrees with MAGA far more than she used to admit.
  • One LGBT Representative responded:  "Wait, Tulsi Gabbard was a Democrat?"
  • A Texas golf course is being investigated for topless women serving alcohol as part of a strip-club-sponsored golf event at the course.
  • A high school golf team had to cancel practice there when they happened upon the debauchery.
  • For his role in the fetanyl-induced death of Angels' pitcher Tyler Skaggs, former team employee Eric Kay was sentenced today to 22 years in Federal prison.
  • It appears the NWSL situation has greatly wounded American women's soccer.  After losing 2-1 in a friendly at England, they lost 2-0 at Spain today.
  • This is compounded by the Spanish coach sacking most of her team due to a scandal involving her treatment of players on the Spanish national side.

  1. Check this out: Fearless: How DeMaurice Smith and the NFLPA are Ruining the NFL

I like this show, but to me, they have too much of a right-wing slant. These guys talk about how DeMaurice is trying to make the league too soft and feminine.

    1. Well, the right-wing slant is why you get "feminine".

But I would ask this question of them: Would you like to see someone DIE on the NFL field this year? You've already had TWO close calls (and several slightly further away than "close"), and it's only Week 6!

    2. They also didn't talk about how J.J. Watt's heart stopped (and had to be re-started).

    3. Was that on the field or was that something else?

    4. Thursday... And probably given the level of what had to be done, that probably was at a team facility/practice.
