Again, from Sports Media Watch:
- Sunday National (CBS -- Packers-Patriots): One of the few high spots. 12.7 rating, 24.65 million viewers. Up 8-9% in both measures -- 3rd most-watched game of the year so far, and the best Week 4 National rating for CBS since the network restarted doing NFL games in 1998!
- Sunday Night Football (Chiefs-Buccaneers): Probably one of the Games of the Year, and it disappointed in the numbers. 11.2 rating, 20.85 million viewers. About the only saving grace of the 20%+ decline in both numbers was that the 2021 Week 4 SNF game was Brady's return to New England...
- It was the least-watched of the six times, now, the two have met on the field, and, for NBC, the worst of the ones they have gotten between The Man and The Next Man (or at least that was the league's idea three years ago!) since the first meeting in 2018.
- Sunday Single (FOX -- Cowboys-Commanders): 8.0 rating, 15.33 million.
- Sunday Regional (CBS -- Bills-Ravens): 7.6 rating, 14.64 million.
- Monday Night (ESPN and the Manningcast on ESPN2 -- Rams-49ers): 6.75 rating, 12.50 million viewers.
- All three were losses year over year.
- London (NFL Network -- Saints-Vikings): 2.6 rating, 4.62 million viewers.
- Amazon Thursday Night: 11.72 million, all but about 600,000 on Amazon. About a 13% jump over Week 3 for the Amazon viewership, but the over the air numbers were easily the worst of the year for the two local markets.
