2022 NFL Week 4 Political Rankings

I'll start at the end.

Fuck one for each conference this week:  The NFL wins DUD OF THE WEEK for itself.

YOU ALMOST KILLED A MAN FOR YOUR POLITICAL RIGGING, YOU SHITHEADS.  YOU HAPPY????

I know there's ample criticism for the Dolphins to go around -- but Tua is far more than just the Dolphins in this regard.  The fact, however, that the NFL had been pushing Tua in the early season of chaos cannot be denied.

You want more proof:  Monday articles only are willing to indicate that Tua is out for Week 5 ONLY!!!

THE HOLY MOTHER OF FUCK?????????????

If you want to talk the possibility of Week 5 of about 2024 or 2025, I MIGHT BE WILLING TO LISTEN TO YOU!!!

I get the lengths to which the Dolphins and their ownership went to get him and that he's basically the extent of the damn franchise -- BUT COME THE FUCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyhow, let's go over the Political Rankings for this week:

AFC:

1) Kansas City

To not only beat the Tom Bradys in an obvious rigging spot, but to be the sole non-competitive game of the entire week in so doing, gets you the #1 spot even though there's another red flag:  A practice-squad running back has become the second Chief in two weeks to get suspended from the league, this one six games for PEDs for Jerrion Ealy, meaning about a $45,000 fine for the team as well.

That SHOULD de-push them, but you can't ignore the circumstances of the win this week.

2) Buffalo

In beating Baltimore (and under suspicious circumstances -- please tell me that Roughing the Passer on the final drive was not intentional, I need a good laugh!!!), Buffalo becomes only of only THREE 3-1 teams in the AFC -- with Miami being the third!

That's right, there is not a team in the AFC North nor South which is 3-1 now!

Eight teams are 2-2, one is 1-2-1, three are 1-3, and one is 0-3-1.

DUD OF THE WEEK NOMINEES, since I already gave the NFL-wide winner this week!!!

Brandon Stephens is the sole AFC nominee this week, for an intentional roughing the passer call on the winning Buffalo drive.  The referee explained it as forcible contact to the head.  If you watch the play, Josh Allen has the ball pretty much gone already when Stephens squares him up for a late shot afterward.  Head contact or not, I've seen that called RTP, and the fact is he committed that penalty with intent to do so and I think I know why...

NFC:

1) Philadelphia

With Tampa now 2-2 and losing an obvious rigging spot for #FloridaStrong after Ian Sunday night, the question which may now have to be asked is "Tom, is this worth losing your marriage over?"

Just asking.

As for Philly, they are the only 4-0 team and did give Minnesota it's sole loss of the year.  But bugger if I can actually figure out, for the life of me, WHY......

2) Dallas

I know I've seen a Deadspin article in the last 48 hours calling them frauds and questioning their early schedule.  I get it.

That said, you can't deny that one of the major ratings draws of the NFL is 3-1 and Cooper Rush is actually one of the surprising stories early in the year.

3) THE DERP??????

Yes, America, the New York Football Giants are heading to London 3-1 for probably the biggest London game of the entire International Series so far -- with the 3-1 Packers next week!

If we want to talk, though, of the Cowboys being frauds, let's remember these three wins are over the Panthers, Bears, and Titans.

4) Minnesota

"WHY???" has to enter the fray here, but, as things stand:

Philly is 4-0.

And only Dallas, the Giants, Green Bay, and the Vikings are 3-1.

Every team in the NFC West is 2-2, and the Falcons and Buccaneers are tied at 2-2 in the South.

Oof.

NFC DUD OF THE WEEK NOMINEES:

1) Tom Brady, is this team worth losing your marriage over?

2) The Detroit Lions defense.  I think it is clear that the Detroit Lions have quite a number of players, especially on defense, who probably wouldn't make a good college team at this point.

Evidence?  The Detroit Lions, through four games, have 140 points.  That's 11 more than the Chiefs, 26 more than the Bills, etc.  Only eight teams, and only three in the NFC, have over 100 points through the first four weeks -- and there have been no byes.

The problem?  The defense has given up 141 points -- leading to a 1-3 record!  Ten teams in the NFL have given up 100 or more points through four games, but the Lions are 24 points clear of the Seahawks and another nine clear of everybody else in the NFL...
