And let me guess what the "reforms" are going to be for the NWSL...

The report came down yesterday for the National Women's Soccer League -- and anyone paying an ounce of attention should know where this went:

Systemic abuse against women throughout the league, and US Soccer (which basically only really exists as a relevant organization BECAUSE OF the women's game!!!!) turned blind eyes.

Oh gee, I never would've guessed in a million goddamned years.

The next thing you're going to tell me is that the league can be cleaned up without killing it!

And if you believe that, I have a piece of swampland to sell you somewhere in Alberta!

When sports gets to the point it has entered the 20th century and does not exist for the sole purpose of abusing the girls and women who attempt to participate in it, please let me know...

People tend to forget who runs the show.  They really do.

And when you understand who does (men, usually high-connected and Republican men too), you not only get the purpose of women's sports is abuse, but also that much of it only exists because of forced and enforced equality of the genders through Title IX.

And that's one of the things the misogynists and bigots thereto want to abolish -- Title IX!!!

 

EDIT TO ADD 5:22 PM PDT:  Two league owners have already "stepped away".  They know what's coming for them, both personally and financially.
