2022 NFL Week 8 Ratings Report

Sports Media Watch reporting:

  • Thursday Night (Amazon:  Tom Bradys-Ravens):  Even as a train wreck, Tom Brady still draws -- almost a 30% week over week increase to just over 10 million Amazon Prime viewers for the game.
  • Sunday National (FOX:  49ers-Rams or Giants-Seahawks):  24.93 million viewers with a 12.6 rating - best Week 8 Sunday National since 2018 or 2015, depending on which metric you use.
  • FOX's National Game of the Week is up 10% year over year so far in the season.
  • Sunday Night (NBC:  Packers-Bills):  19.62 million, 10.6 rating, best Week 8 since 2015 -- and the fact that no World Series game interfered had to be taken into account.
  • Monday Night (ESPN:  Browns-Bengals):  Was not so fortunate.  6.2 rating, 11.3 million viewers, even with Game 3 rained out.  About a 20% loss year over year in both metrics.  Oh gee, with that matchup, what a royal shock!
  • Sunday Regional (FOX:  Cowboys-Bears):  6.3 rating, 11.94 million viewers, basically a wash.
  • Sunday Single (CBS:  Steelers-Eagles):  8.4 rating, 16.13 million viewers, both down from last year but beat FOX and a Cowboys-led block handily.
