2022 NFL Week 9 Political Rankings

Well, there are the standings.

Here are the Politicals...

NFC:

1) Philadelphia

As much as there might be at least two more Political choices, all else equal, in their own division, 8-0 going on 12-0 is not anything to sneeze at.  That said, you do have to wonder about the conditions as they are once it gets to the nut-cutting time, especially if, as things are beginning to look, it's the three NFC East teams who have separated themselves out.

2) Dallas

3) NY Giants

The big thing is still the ratings, but Dallas has got to stay out of the doghouse, especially with both New York teams neck-deep in contention.

4) Seattle

5) Minnesota

More because I really don't think, even at 7-1, Minnesota has that much to bring to the table here.  Seattle has that rabid 12th Man and all...

DUD OF THE WEEK:

Only a winner this week, and they've won several others:

THE GREEN BAY SLACKERS

Oh my God.  15-9 to DETROIT???  I'm not sure they win another game this year.  I think part of it IS deliberate sabotage on Rodgers' part, and I think a big part of it is that they just don't have the guns.  They're basically Detroit without the heart, guts, or intestinal fortitude.

I think it IS time to start the rebuild, find out if you have anything at all in Jordan Love (there's no indication you do), and go from there.

AFC:

I really don't wanna put KC back in this, but that win, and some of the circumstances around it, does make you wonder...  If KC was in this, they'd be probably 1 or 1A right now.

1) Baltimore

There's a reason for this.  I'm removing Buffalo for the time being due to the Josh Allen reports.  UCL is Tommy John.  If he's got a UCL, season over and perhaps next season too.  And that will force the rewrite.

2) Miami

3) NY Jets

The only reason I'm putting Miami #2 is Tua's 6-0 when he plays.  It is CLEAR that if there's one consistent rigging mechanism the NFL has employed this year, it's Tua.

The Jets, I honestly believe, would have to be a package deal with the Giants and maybe an outside shot at Philly.

DUD OF THE WEEK:

Las Vegas Raiders are nominee #1, because I think it's clear that season is well over now.

Tennessee's passing offense is nominee #2, simply because it didn't exist.

Winner?

THE INDIANAPOLIS COLTS:  So bad, they fired their coach and actually promoted their former long-time center Jeff Saturday to be the interim coach.
