With Packers-Eagles tonight and 3-7 Pittsburgh vs. 4-6-1 Indianapolis tomorrow, I can get this done now -- and may need to. It sounds like the interruption may be imminent, but better days ahead once it is over, for me and for others.
Anyhow, to the rankings, first Kayfabe:
AFC East: Dolphins 8-3, HTH over Buffalo with the same record after the Week 3 win, second meeting December 18th. Jets are 7-4, New England 6-5.
AFC North: Baltimore 7-4, HTH over Cincinnati with the same record after the Week 5 win, second meeting Week 18 in January.
AFC South: Tennessee 7-4, Indy is next at 4-6-1
AFC West: Kansas City is 9-2, LA Chargers 6-5
Tiebreakers:
Baltimore-Tennessee for the 3-4: Will not play. Conference Record: Baltimore 4-3, Tennessee 5-3
Cincinnati-NY Jets for the 6-7: CIN won Week 3.
- KC (9-2, AFC West)
- MIA (8-3, AFC East, wins HTH tiebreaker over Buffalo)
- TEN (7-4, AFC South, wins Conference Record tiebreaker over Baltimore)
- BAL (7-4, AFC North, loses Conference Record tiebreaker to Tennessee)
- BUF (8-3, loses HTH tiebreaker to Miami)
- CIN (7-4, wins HTH tiebreaker with the Jets)
- NYJ (7-4, loses HTH tiebreaker to Cincinnati)
Politicals:
1) Miami
Mainly because of two factors. The first is:
2) Kansas City
... and the fact it does kinda look like, especially with Tua chugging along, that Miami and KC are getting a couple lengths in front there, as long as Tua is still going.
The second is because of the Tua push and the fact I don't trust the Reid leadership in KC and that I do think there's too much doghouse for KC not to take a bad call at a crucial playoff time. Kelce Caught It???
3) Buffalo
4) Baltimore
And by a fair distance behind the top two.
Yes, there could be a Dud of the Week candidate tomorrow night, and I'll edit and make note if there is.
However:
DUD OF THE WEEK:
I think you'd have to go a fair distance to get past this WINNER:
KEVIN STRONG OF THE TENNESSEE TITANS
20-16 Cincinnati. Cincinnati kicks a 31-yard field goal with 1:53 to go -- except Kevin Strong commits a personal foul on the play and taking the field goal off the board ensures the victory.
Roughing the snapper: Elbow to the head of the snapper, rolling him back -- the snapper is a defenseless player in that position!
Stupid penalty and loses the game -- and given his place and contract for just this year at $850,000, I would not be surprised at all if he's an EX-Tennessee Titan by about tomorrow or Tuesday!
