It's punishment enough, IMODO, when fans leave the game and are not permitted to return under any circumstance, so they miss the final act in the play, as it were.
However, at about the moment some fans left, there was what police called an "excited" and "extremely intoxicated" member of the 12th Man Cult who came up to a fan who, believing the outcome had been decided, left.
He asked him why, and then held a knife to the guy's stomach and told him that it might be in his best interests to return.
