In Continuing Evidence MLB Isn't Even TRYING Anymore...

You know, it's easy for the NFL to be King of Everything and The National Religion when the other sports won't even try to be half-relevant.

Take baseball, for example.

Fred Wilpon is the new head of Major League Baseball's Finance Committee.

Why is this evidence MLB isn't even trying to be relevant, sane, or anything else?

Deadspin explains:
  • Wilpon is the owner of the Mets.  That's strike one.
  • Wilpon lost as much as $700 million to Bernie Madoff.  Strike two.
  • Some of that lost money was "deferred money" from Mets' contracts!!
Best Interests of Baseball??

REALLY???
