One is by a current NFC North quarterback.
The other is by a former Hall of Fame NFC North quarterback.
First, the current: Aaron Rodgers, on the Russell Wilson God comment from yesterday:
A fan was writing in to ESPN Milwaukee, for a Rodgers interview that basically shows that, if anything, Rodgers likes his footballs actually OVERINFLATED (which would make no sense for his receivers in Green Bay conditions), saying:
> "‘I always find it a little off-putting when athletes, actors and anybody says, “This is what God wanted,” or “I want to thank God for helping us win today,” anything along those lines when a game or award is won. I’m paraphrasing here, but you get the gist.’”
‘Personally, with all the chaos in the world, I’m not sure God really cares about the outcome of a game or an award show — what do you think of statements such as these? You’ve obviously got your faith,’ she says, ‘does what happened on Sunday impact your relationship with God or your faith at all?’ ”
This, according to the Washington Post.
Rodgers' answer:
“I agree with her. I don’t think God cares a whole lot about the outcome.
“He cares about the people involved, but I don’t think He’s a big football fan.”
Given what people do in the name of football, probably not, but THAT'S NOT PART OF THE SCRIPT.
You're supposed to watch every game like it's your life out there, and when the ball is in the air, like this one commercial I recall (but forget precisely what the commercial is for), you're supposed to stop everything, run to church, pray to God your team won, run back home, and then find out if God answered your prayers.
Of course, in the scheme of things, that might be nothing compared to the bombshell Fran Tarkenton just dropped, according to Brian Tuohy's retweet:
Fran Tarkenton, on live TV, saying everyone in NFL uses PEDs: http://t.co/pjcZHOuY3E

Tarkenton, on CNN discussing Deflate-Gate, went off on the hand which fed him, stating that every team was openly using PEDs, ranting on so much that CNN cut him off.
