But I do guess, in the WWNFL, you have to sell being hit like that.
Another piece of evidence came out today on Deadspin -- and thanks to my friend again...
That onside kick the tight-end screwed up on?
Well, for at least an hour, it looked like we had something.
There was a six-man wedge on one of the sides of the situation, and Deadspin picked it up.
But leave it to league shill Dean Blandino (yep, League Command/Control, whatever...) to pick up on that himself and force Deadspin to rewrite the monologue.
By Deadspin's account, within 20 minutes of posting about the six-man wedge, the NFL snaps into action:
Question regarding #Seahawks onside kick. Rule states you must have at least 4 players on either side of the ball. Formation was legal.

Rule changed in 09. At least 4 players must be on each side of the ball. 3 must be outside hash, and 1 outside numbers. Rule 6-1-3 (c)

But, no, Mr. Blandino, you don't get a pass on this one, for one very simple question I have for you:Why do you step in on this one, knowing your league, short of altering the AFC result (which, by many accounts, Goodell would have the authority to do!!!), is in a much deeper one to begin with?
And, not only that, but, even WITHOUT this, that still was the most scripted NFL farce since Tebow-Mania...
Please, Dean... Go back to horses' heads in beds and the like.
