2026 Week Two Score Report

Well, this week looked a bit more sane than Week 1 -- at least after Thursday night...

• 647 points this week, not even 40.5 this week after basically a 50 per last week!
• 1,438 points for the two weeks, then.  Average:  44.94
• Home teams were 7-9, 17-14 for the season.
• 6 Cliffhangers in 3 games this week -- GB snags an overtime FG to Escape From New York, a double in Tennessee with a go-ahead FG for TEN at 1:56, only to get the winning TD pass for Philly at 9 seconds, and Sunday night's shenanigans.
  5 Last Chance Misses, including Chicago getting four shots from the 20 and inside the last four plays...
• Also including a 4-bagger in Kansas City for the rig-job Sunday night.  Long pass play at the gun almost gets there for Mahomes, and three overtime field goals for the triple-cliffhanger on top.
• 7 non-competitive games -- which means, of the first 32 games, fully 13 never were within eight points at any point in the fourth quarter.  There's going to be a LOT of shit football this year.
• Only one other game finished within eight points, and one other was within 8 at some point in the fourth quarter but didn't finish there.
• 9 Cliffhangers in five games, 11 Last Chance Misses, 4 other games finished within 8, and 3 were within 8 at some point in the fourth quarter but didn't finish there.
