Before we get to the Fine Blotter, what the NFL is up against...

I said yesterday that I think the NFL is seeing what's happening at lower levels and reacting -- with both the illegal hits and the after-play stuff.

Here's an example.  The slamming player (who damn well should've been ejected) is a Kentucky Player of the Year and the #1 recruited tight end in the nation.  This is what he did after a goal-line interception -- a clear ejection-level slam for injurious conduct in high-school football:

That's me:  He's ejected, suspended, and referred to the school for a school suspension.  That is clear Intent To Injure. 

AND WAIT, THERE'S MORE!!

In another tweet, we find out that the player, Seneca Driver, has already been ejected and suspended from a game for unsportsmanlike conduct earlier in the season!

Texas and Tennessee are playing a top-15 matchup in Tennessee today.

A Texas player, Collin Simmons, a member of the #1 team in the nation, celebrated a sack today by mocking urinating on the field.

I won't dignify that by posting it.  It's all over the Net.

Yes, he was flagged.  No, it should've been flagrant and he should've been gone.

And since the game is on ABC, that's an FCC violation too.  So they can expect to be fined, which I hope they turn over to the University of Texas.

(And yes, I filed one.)

AND WAIT, THERE'S STILL MORE!!!

A SECOND FCC violation by the University of Texas.

Raleek Brown scored the first touchdown in the 20-17 win.

For his touchdown celebration, he pantomimed smelling his balls and passing out.  Brown was NOT penalized.
