A member of the band at the University of Iowa died after being removed from life support -- dead after trying to perform in 90+ degree heat at Iowa's opener last Saturday.
Horn player Derek Phillips died after he collapsed as the band was preparing for a halftime show which was scrapped as a result.
He was a third-year student.
