- The government of Czechoslovakia has told the NHL not to bring Russian players into the country. The Sharks and Predators play two regular-season games there in about 2 weeks, and each team has one -- no word on whether the NHL will comply or what will happen if they don't...
- Czech legend Dominik Hasek has led the movement for the ban.
- Two regular-season games have been scheduled for Finland around the same time. No word on whether the Avalanche and Blue Jackets will be asked the same request.
- No home run for Pujols last night, but a 7th inning single broke up Blake Snell's no-hitter.
- There are now actually conspiracy theories surrounding the Mike Evans suspension, because the father of one of the Packer players is the person who upheld it. I'd believe you if it wasn't clear to God and anybody there was a track record of this. This was the third major foul of a violent type (the second resulting in a fight -- I expect lots of small "involved in fight" fines in about 48 hours) between Evans and Marshon Lattimore of the Saints, and the second Evans suspension for them. So the fact that Evans wasn't suspended multiple games should be the end of that scenario.
- A female University of Utah IDIOT actually said she'd blow up a nuclear reactor on the campus (there apparently is one) if Utah lost to San Diego State. Terrorist threat charges have been filed.
- Speaking of young IDIOTS... The latest TikTok trend wise people have to try to talk young people out of is the "Sleepy Chicken Challenge" -- eating chicken cooked in Nyquil. We're fucked. We're done.
- And the Boston Celtics are about to lose their coach for all of next season. Head coach Ime Udoka will be banned the entire 2022-23 season for an inappropriate relationship with a female member of his staff.
- It is unclear whether this is a league suspension or a suspension by the Celtics -- but it is largely unprecedented. It almost HAS TO BE league -- this appears a wildly fire-able offense, even for the head coach of the Eastern Conference champions...
- Now word this morning that Udoka is considering resignation. I wouldn't give him the dignity, especially if this is a team/franchise offense. If this is the Celtics and not the NBA, FIRE HIS ASS AND FIRE IT NOW -- regardless of the fact that reports indicate the relationship is consensual.
- And the suspension -- a team suspension -- was announced tonight. Why is he not fired? Full stop. No other questions to ask.
