Might try this, at least as long as I can actually get the information -- which, if like the last couple of years, might be only a couple weeks...
(SIGNIFICANT Sunday Morning update per an NFL.com Around The League post.)
- Los Angeles Rams: Justin Hollins, $5,361 for a horse-collar tackle.
- Los Angeles Rams: Matt Gay was fined $5,035 for his pants being too short. He now has question as to whether he can effectively do his job as a kicker, and could well be fined again for making his grievance quite public!
- Houston Texans: Jerry Hughes, same fine, same offense, same reaction (except he's a defensive lineman)
- San Francisco 49ers: Charles Omenihu, yep, same drill!
- Detroit Lions: Tracy Walker, $11,139 for two personal fouls, one of them a punch for which he got ejected from the game.
- Buffalo Bills: Stefon Diggs: $10,609 for taunting. No flag was thrown.
- Buffalo Bills: Dane Jackson: $4,972 for taunting.
- Carolina Panthers: To actually cement the rigging, Brian Burns was fined $15,914 for that roughing the passer penalty against the Browns.
- Seattle Seahawks: Jamal Adams: $10,609 for unsportsmanlike conduct.
- Denver Broncos: Javante Williams, $11,914 for unnecessary roughness. My guess: Lowering helmet to initiate contact, given the Tweet I'm reading?
- Denver Broncos: Jonathan Cooper: $4,723 for taunting.
- Houston Texans: Jalen Pitre, $9,145 for a helmet foul.
- Cincinnati Bengals: Ja'Marr Chase: $23,870 for two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. Only one of the two was flagged. There needs to be a rule in the CBA that if a disqualification event occurs which the refs do not call, the league can automatically suspend. Chase needs to sit this game.
- None of three different hits by Pittsburgh's Minkah Fitzpatrick, two of which flagged, were fined. Between that and a missed TD for Cincinnati, I think we have our winner for Week 1's Rigged Game of the Week!
I know some of these numbers look like complete jokes, (and they are) but it sounds to me they are more correctly announcing the fines which are applicable to the salaries of the players this year (and the last couple), rather than what they did in previous years.
That's it, as of about noon PDT Saturday.
There are some preseason fines I need to toss in (Source on these, Spotrac):
- San Francisco 49ers: George Odum, $5,035, uniform violation
- San Francisco 49ers: Malik Turner, $5,750 for a helmet foul
- Washington Commanders: Reggie Bonafon: $4,972 for taunting
- New York Jets: Quincy Williams: $10,609 for a late hit
- Dallas Cowboys: Dante Fowler Jr.: $10,609 for unsportsmanlike conduct.
