September 19, 2022 News and Notes

• I'll cover Week 2 in it's own regular posts.
• Last night, even Big Ben fell to reverence.  A minute of silence for the death of Queen Elizabeth II at 8 PM London time last night was to be marked by tolls of Big Ben -- except the clock malfunctioned and no chime was heard.  It, too, fell to silence.
• This has, apparently, been resolved, and importantly, too:  Big Ben will toll continuously after the funeral this morning as the Queen's coffin is taken from Westminster Abbey through London and heading to Windsor Castle for further ceremonies.
• And apparently, either in a speech given beforehand or in a statement (since President Biden is in London for the Queen's Funeral), Biden has declared the pandemic over.  Lost.  We have lost to COVID, and will pay that penalty now and in the next few years.  The White Right has won and will get it's wave of death...
• And that's to say nothing of the Nazi rally with Trump in Ohio on Saturday night, nor the follow-up Q-Fest with PA gubernatorial candidate Mastriani on Sunday.
• We cannot get out of this sanely at this point.  Something drastic is going to have to happen, come what may, or we will lose this country and at least half of it's population.
