Day 602

  • Barf.  More on that later in it's own post.  (Obviously sports-related.)
  • New Jersey has soundly rejected allowing people to wager on post-season college sports.  I wonder if that means it is actually illegal to wager college football/basketball in the state as it presently stands.
  • Ben Simmons is now openly being seen as mentally ill by the Philadelphia 76ers.  The 76ers have now played their first 7 games of the 2021-22 season and are 5-2, and need to know what they and Simmons need to do to get him on the court.  They should've cut bait on the guy -- not as a function of mental health, but everyone basically knew after last year's playoffs this guy is not the answer of any kind...
  • On a day in which the GQP won ominous victories in polling in states like Virginia, QAnon actually gathered in Dallas for a rally in which Donald Trump was to appear.
  • This isn't so much the problem -- though he didn't.  The newest QAnon insanity, however, is that Donald Trump will re-assume the Presidency and then, after a period of time, resign the office (assumedly after a Republican Congress would name this man the VP) and have John F. Kennedy Jr. assume the Presidency.
  • That's nice.  JFK Jr. was killed in a 1999 plane crash.  Seriously.  It is time to take these Q-tards out back and put them to sleep like the rabid dogs they are.  That statement may be the end of this blog -- but if we don't get THIS KIND OF BULLSHIT under immediate control at all cost, you best enjoy your last months of pseudo-freedom or your last months of life, depending on who you are and whether you're of legitimate purpose to these FUCKING IDIOTS.
  • It's official.  There's a COVID outbreak on the Packers.  Aaron Rodgers has tested positive for COVID.  Will not play this week.
  • No, I don't think necessarily the COVID thing is a fake.  That said, I do believe this is quite fortuitous for the NFL.  The AFC, outside of Baltimore, now lies in basic chaos.  They can have Kansas City win a convincing win over the Packers this week -- since it's inter-conference, the damage to the Packers is only really minimal.  The only NFC team really helped of any standard (unless E. Stan Kroenke wants to shut the fuck up) is Dallas.  And it really helps Kansas City in a situation where there are some serious questions as to whether ANYBODY really wants to win the AFC Championship.
  • Vegas effect was immediate:  Game opened KC -3, but heavy Green Bay money moved that game to a pick -- until this morning.  Now, Kansas City is a touchdown-and-up favorite.  The game has also taken a touchdown hit in the total already -- from 55 or so to 49.
  • And Aaron, we need to have a fucking talk:  UNVACCINATED?  IN YOUR POSITION?????
  • Bad day for superstars and COVID:  Sidney Crosby not only is positive to it, he's got symptoms!
  • Word from Las Vegas is now that, before Henry Ruggs III killed someone in a fiery DUI crash, he was clocked seconds before at over ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY MILES AN HOUR.   Drunk and at that speed?  Murder II at the damn minimum!!!
Two my anonymous friend found today:
  • I'd have to think Rob Manfred was dancing and chanting along with them -- just far away from any cameras...  At least one reader of the blog felt this Series would end in Atlanta so the trophy could be given away to a non-stop dozens-minutes-long Chop sequence.  An incident in the streets of White Cobb County after the Cobb County Barfs defeated the Houston Assholes four games to two -- The Lights Out Chop, one of the most racist and disruptive events in all of baseball.  But you know Manfred's cool with it, because Fuck Y'All...  (There will be a fuller post on this once I get the energy to do it.)
  • And Scottie Pippen's new book gives "Film at 11" tautologies on Foolish and Wretched One-Dimensional Ballhog -- calling him condescending, and noting ESPN paid jordon $10,000,000 for The Last Dance -- none of the other Bulls got shit.  Make no mistake -- jordon KNOWS he "invented sports" -- more, invented the Rigged Corporate Era of Sports in America...
