CFP Week 4: History, BUT...

For the first time in the history of any on-field college-football top-level championship format, a non-Power 5 team has been officially ranked worthy of a title shot:

1) Georgia

2) Ohio State (no real surprise -- the ass-job they did on Michigan State has to resonate)

3) Alabama (I wonder what an Ohio State-Alabama Cotton Bowl line would look like.)

The Action Network's Collin Wilson has estimated Alabama would be a 3 1/2 point favorite over Ohio State, and Georgia a 16.5 point favorite over Cincinnati.

4) Cincinnati

5) Michigan  (thought they might get the 4, and that would set up another backdoor for the Committee)

6) Notre Dame

Here's where the "BUT......" comes in for Cincinnati

7) Oklahoma State

8) Baylor

9) is Ole Miss, but they're not involved.

10) Oklahoma

Anyone NOT think that Oklahoma State beating Oklahoma next week and then Baylor for the Big XII title might get Oklahoma State to 4 over Cincinnati, if that was what was necessary??

Oklahoma beating State twice??

Not sure if Baylor can get 8 to 4 on just beating Oklahoma, especially because that would only make a 1-1 split between the two teams...

--------------

So right now, order of likelihood, for Fuck Cincinnati -- and this does assume Cincy beats ECU and Houston to finish out:

1) Oklahoma State runs the table and pips them at the end.

2) Notre Dame gets in on Mar Kee Val You as a last resort.

2A)  Oklahoma beats State twice, same caveat.

or 3) Michigan beats Ohio State, drops them to 3 -- then railroads Minnesota/Iowa/Wisconsin and you get 2 SEC 2 Big Ten.

(And the only reason that's #3 is that Harbaugh hasn't won shit in Michigan.)
