- Sometimes ESPN lets you in on a bit of the booking... On Wednesday of this week, Ryan Clark of ESPN's Mike Greenberg Get Up show said the 4-5 Vikings were an "upset lock" to beat the 8-2 Packers. Reminded me of a similar exchange a couple years back where "no one in America wants to see [IIRC] Utah in a prominent bowl game" -- before Utah was "upset" that weekend. It's on the blog here somewhere, just have to find it.
- Found it: 2019 Pac-12 Championship Game -- two days before on the very same Get Up show, Paul Finebaum announcing that no one wanted to see Utah in the CFP. First drive, two questionable playcalls for the Utes. Second drive, uncalled Oregon targeting. Third drive, false start on 4th and inches -- Oregon eliminates Utah from the CFP, 37-15, to win the Pac-12 that year.
- Anyone who's been paying an ounce of attention the last about three weeks should know what I'm about to type: Game-winning FG at the gun, Minnesota 34 - Green Bay 31.
- And, Packer Nation, that won't be the last game you guys get taken down on. No Super Bowl for you, come back, one vaccinated quarterback.
- 6-3 Bills get railroaded by the 5-5 Colts 41-15 at home!
- But both of those might pale in comparison: Tennessee lost this week -- TO HOUSTON!!!!
- Green Bay since the Rodgers positive: Lose to KC 13-7, beat Seattle 17-0, lose to Minnesota today 34-31.
- Las Vegas since the Ruggs incident: Lose to the Giants 23-16, KC 41-14, and Cincinnati today 32-13. Coincidence in EITHER OF THESE? I THINK NOT!!!
- Last 3 weeks: Only 15 of the last 41 NFL games entering Sunday night are within one score.
- In that same situation, there have been EIGHTEEN non-competitive games never within a score at any point in the fourth quarter.
The truth is not what actually happened. It's what you can ENFORCE happened. It's ALL enforcement.

you go so much between NFL helping Packers and NFL hating Packers it's kinda hilarious. Like you literally have a post about your confusion about the NFL "giving one" to the Packers after the previous week or so of controversy. Maybe, and this is the conspiracy theory guy in me talking, but maybe the NFL isn't rigging the games and you're just a paranoid talking head who posts for the sake of posting because no one willingly listens to your bullshit
ReplyDeleteAnd if you read that post, I said, IN THAT POST, that I understood NO DISCERNIBLE REASON for that to have happened!
DeleteWhat happened the week before and this week (and all three of the last three weeks to the Raiders) is more what I have expected to happen.
Don't just cherry-pick. Part of the reason I posted last week's post was wondering WHY IN THE HELL THE NFL DID THAT...
