December 2, 2022 News and Notes

  • Somebody (purportedly) got into the cannibis edibles and brought them to a Los Angeles middle school.  10 students, ages 12-15 OD'd as a result.
  • Karl Denninger reporting more hidden figures indicating another 300,000 educated people (more than usually accounted for) have probably died in the last month.  COVID or the vaccines...  Pick your reason...   I pick the former, many pick the latter.
  • There is now a report that, months before the Feb. 2022 invasion of Ukraine, battle plans were being drawn up for Putin and the Russians to invade Japan.
  • Someone please arrest Dana White.  The province of Ontario has banned UFC from it's betting boards.  The reason?  Insider information -- and I'm not talking the type claimed by handicappers.  I'm talking the real thing.
  • One case was a fight about a month ago between Darrick Minner and Shayilan Nuerdanbieke, Sports Illustrated reports.  Minner had not disclosed a pre-fight injury (and is now in trouble with the NSAC for it), and so the insiders bet heavily on Nuerdanbieke to win in the first round by knockout -- which he did in just over a minute.
  • The 12-team CFP is official, starting in 2024.  The Rose Bowl getting in on the agreement got it done.
  • In the continuing spiral that is Antonio Brown:  Multiple attempts to arrest Antonio Brown were made before he was finally arrested.  Tampa, domestic violence, the mother of four of his six children.  Oh no...

  1. 12-team CFP playoff? Not surprised. They will push it further into January. I think they eventually want to have enough teams to have the title game in February on sweeps month. Pathetic.
