- The race ended cleanly, and with a last-lap pass by Max Verstappen to win the Formula 1 World Championship and the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
- There were several significant flashpoints in the race, though. So much so that a safety car fiasco had Louis Hamilton's team filing a protest -- which was denied.
- Has the memo gotten to the NFL that it's Brady v. Belichick? This week seems to be massive quit-jobs by the low end of the scale:
- Houston loses 33-13 to Seattle.
- The Raiders get shellacked at Kansas City 41-9.
- The Jets go down to New Orleans 30-9.
- Jacksonville is shut out at Tennessee 20-0.
- Detroit losing 31-10 to Denver in the 4th. (38-10 Final)
- Giants losing 37-7 to the Chargers in the 4th. (37-21 Final)
(Original list is as of the time I added all that.)
- And the situation in Jacksonville is getting worse by the hour. Urban Meyer will fire any leaks in the locker room. I think half the team wants to go now.
- First ten games to finish: Favorites are 9-1 ATS and 9-1 SU.
- The Packers are an almost two-touchdown favorite over the Bears tonight. Why, oh why, am I getting a gut feeling about this one?
- Make that 11-1 ATS and SU for the week. And who is one of the largest-money betting teams in the NFL? That's right. The Packers!! I'm smelling something -- now watch me be told as an idiot after Bears stockholder Aaron Rodgers gets done tonight or something...
- And with the Refball for the Tom Bradys! Blatant DPI no-call in the end zone benefitting Tampa forces Buffalo to settle for a tying FG in regulation. Less than that is called DPI in the overtime, and two or so plays later, 57 yard touchdown and the Tom Bradys are 10-3.
- Yep. Aaron Rodgers has some more stock in the Bears. Still, that looked so obvious... 11-1 ATS for the week, "I STILL OWN YOU!", Brady refball, etc.
- Yo, refs: After the Packer muffs the onside attempt, isn't that a touchdown for Chicago on the scoop and score? Asking for a friend...
