- OMG, did the NFL pull one off here...
- 29-0 Vikings over the Steelers with 3:00 to go in the 3rd quarter, and for life of me I'm thinking the NFL is going to finally put Captain Fatfuck out of his misery.
- The game ends 36-28 to Minnesota, and the Steelers had a pass punched out of the receiver's hand in the end zone as he was trying to complete the process of a catch which would've had a no-time-left 2-point conversion to tie.
- This is the NFL trying to cover up a lot of shit teams, people. This is the team which tied Detroit, losing to the team which lost to Detroit.
- Had the Steelers pulled it off in overtime, it would've been the largest comeback in the history of regular-season NFL play.
- I'm probably going to embed, eventually, UrinatingTree's stream of the game. You have GOT to see some of this.
- Conglaturation to Tree -- his YouTube stream, during the game, passed 500,000 subscriptions.
- Another story also took the pins out of the enthusiasm. The receiver of the famous "Tebow Time" overtime playoff win in Denver over the Steelers has shockingly passed away at 33. DeMaryius Thomas. No word, as of now, per cause.
- The Detroit School District is done for 2021-22. No, seriously... They're closing Friday -- no online classes. The school year is over, and there's probably very little hope of them reopening again.
- At least one Oregon middle school has shuttered for two weeks because the kids are completely out of control. I'm surprised this doesn't happen more, and hasn't happened more for a while.
- The 2021 Game Awards -- a vehicle for the best games of the year, as well as trailer announcements, was held tonight in Los Angeles.
E-Sports:
- Player of the Year: Oleksandr Kostyliev. He's considered among the Greatest of All-Time in Counterstrike. PC Player of the Year for the ESports Awards three years ago.
- E-Sport Game of the Year: For about the zillionth time, League of Legends. There's a reason it abbreviates to LoL, especially outside of Southeast Asia...
- Team of the Year: Kostyliev's team, the Russian team Natus Vincere. Quite interesting that a Counterstrike team would win this award in a situation so dominated by League of Legends and DoTA 2. NaVi is one of the pillars of the CS:GO e-sport -- they've been around since 2009.
- Coach of the Year: Kim Keong-jyun. The three-time World Champion coach of Faker's SK Telecom T1 League of Legends team, he moved to Damwon Gaming, and after defeating Faker and T1 in the semifinals, fell in a close final to China's Edward Gaming for China's third LoL World Championship in the last four years.
