Sounds as if the NFL is getting some viewers back...

And if the LVI Shitfest is any indication, I think I know their demographic -- the same demo Madden has been pounding down our throat 20 years now!  "IT'S FOOTBALL TIME!!!  AND THE GAME IS OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON...."

Eugh.

(Sports Media Watch with the numbers.)
  • The ratings make a strong case for LVI:  Brady vs. Belichick.  SNF was 14.6 rating, 26.75 million viewers, and that's 2/3 - 3/4 more than last year's Week 4.
  • No, not 2/3 - 3/4 of a percent.  77% up rating, 64% up viewers.
  • Packers drew well for the CBS National (90%, Packers-Steelers), 11.6 rating, 22.3 million viewers (up 10% and 20%, respectively.)
  • Chiefs drew VERY WELL for the CBS Regional (61% Chiefs-Eagles), 9/4 ratings, 17.35 million viewers (up 69% ratings, 74% viewership for the spot, the largest early window for the network, ANY WEEK, in about five years.
  • It was the most watched October doubleheader for CBS since 2015.
  • FOX Single:  9.4 rating, 18.28M viewers (5% up rating, 9% up viewers)
  • Thursday Night:  Best NFL Network exclusive in three years.  4.5 rating (up 41%) and 8 million viewers (up 48%).
  • Monday Night:  12.86 million viewers (up almost 50%), best Week 4 MNF in three years.
  • However, in the first week ESPN2 only showed the main situation of the game, rather than the Manningcast, the ESPN2 audience was about one-quarter the most recent Manningcast.
