218 wins between them, and the season may have just come down to an inch....

(Editing the title -- forgot the Wild Card Game.)

And, yeah, I do think there are those who believe it may have been rigged for the Dodgers.

I get that -- and there would not be a lack of merit for that, given that, with the Red Cucks, the Assholes, and the Barfs the other three teams, that Manfred just is going "FUCK EVERYBODY!!"

But you try to make THIS CALL with the season on the damn line on an appeal..

This is where my view on rigged sports is different than many, many others.  And if it had gone the other way, there's probably a belief I would go that way as well, MAYBE.  But this isn't as obvious, not even CLOSE, as the Tuck Rule, Game 6 of the 2002 WCF, the seven-second field-goal, half of what goes on on a weekly basis in the NFL.

The other problem is that the replay from the first-baseline angle does not show the plate that well.  (I checked several longer videos on the subject.)

And to think this isn't the first Dodgers-Giants check-swing fiasco this year!

Which was followed by:
And the Giants won that game and never relinquished first place in the National League West again -- until (technically) tonight!).

I will easily say that if it was no swing in July, it's no swing tonight -- tonight was far closer than the one the Dodgers DID NOT get the call on in July.

Anyone who wants to argue that they rigged tonight for the Dodgers will get only some argument from me -- and that's largely because tonight's camera angle sucked and we didn't have where the plate was definitely.

My baseball historian friend makes the right call on this one:  Get the damn call right, whatever it is.  It's apparently an unreviewable play on a judgement call, etc.  Do what they did with the Immaculate Reception if you have to.  This was too damn important..
