- You gotta be kidding me. Against Dallas, AGAIN???
Look, I get it, first game in the new SoFi Stadium, etc. and so forth and so on. So there's no way the Rams are going to lose this one, if the NFL has anything to say about it.
30 seconds left, down 3, and this happens (you know the NFL is gonna yoink this, but this video has the definitive) as Michael Gallup gets the ball inside the LA 20, or so people think...
No question that, letter of the law, that's OPI on a push-off. But you can't tell me the refs don't let all that slide almost all the time -- and the fact that Jalen Ramsey of the Rams has Gallup's arm.
Is that call made if it's not Sunday Night and the first game in the new stadium?
Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrigged...
- Statistical quirk: The Vikings and Packers had a shootout today. The Vikings scored three fourth quarter two point conversions on three TD's for 24 points as part of a 38 point 4th quarter.
- One problem, they couldn't stop the Packers, and, as a result of the 29-10 lead built up to start the 4th, the game was non-competitive anyway.
- This represents (via Pro Football Reference) the sixth time the NFL has had at least 3 two-point conversions successful in one game. Record is 4: St. Louis and Atlanta, October 15, 2000)
- NFL cooking up the offenses to get the people at home happy: Average total was 49.
- But one statistical quirk: Only six of the 14 games played so far finished within one score, and EVERY ONE OF THEM had a feasible Last Chance Miss.
- Home teams were 8-6. The two teams which had fans this week both won.
- The over was 9-5. ATS and Straight Up were both 7-6, with one game kicking a pick.
