- 47.375 points per game for the first week of the season.
- A lot of people talking that lack of crowds will stifle any home-field advantage. This week would give that credence. In total, home teams went 8-8, but the two games in which the home team had a crowd, the home team won both. In empty stadiums, the home team was 6-8.
- Surprisingly, the Over was only 9-7.
- One game kicked a Pick, so the ATS/SU numbers are based on 15 games. 8-7 ATS, 9-6 SU -- the only difference was Tennessee.
- Teams with more penalties won only 4 games out of 14 this week. 4-10.
- Two Cliffhangers: The Monday nighter with Tennessee and a FG with 15 seconds left (after Gostkowski missed three field goals AND an extra point beforehand!!!), and Chicago beating Detroit on a touchdown at 1:54 of the fourth.
- Most interesting stat of the week: Only seven of the 16 games ended within one score. ALL SEVEN, though, ended with a Last Chance Miss, including the two Cliffhangers!!!
- Five non-competitive games this week.
The truth is not what actually happened. It's what you can ENFORCE happened. It's ALL enforcement.
