One quick note:
  • Tonight's game made it, through eight weeks, eleven NFL contests where the Vegas spread was at least two touchdowns.  Only two entire seasons, according to Pro Football Reference, had more:  1992 had 19.  The record is 2009's 20!  This was the 263rd NFL game with a spread of two touchdowns or more.  Pittsburgh spotted Miami 14, and did not cover in the 27-14 win.
Ratings from Sports Media Watch:
  • CBS National:  14.0, down 7% (mostly Patriots-Browns)
  • CBS Regional:  6.9, down 15% and the lowest Week 8 regional slot since 2003!
  • FOX Single:  11.5, up 12%
  • Sunday Night:  10.4, up 25%
Meanwhile, over in baseball:
And according to Sports Media Watch, not only was the Packers-Chiefs SNF game the best-rated SNF opponent to the World Series in four years, Saturday night's Game 4 was the lowest-rated in the history of the World Series! (5.9 and only barely 10.2 million viewers -- the least watched was Tampa-Philadelphia's Game 3 in 2008, 9.84 million).

And Trump didn't help Game 5 either:  The viewership matched Game 4's.
