Mexican Soccer: GOOD. GOD.

It appears as if the debacle with Veracruz may almost be the LEAST of Mexico's problems.

Two matches had to be called off this week, both due to violence!  (ESPN)

Culiacan, Sinaloa, Thursday:  The second-tier match between Dorados and Atlante had to be suspended after a raging gun battle and massive gun violence in the city rendered the match unable to proceed.

They are trying to figure out when and how to make it up.

Sunday:  Atletico San Luis and Queretaro was called off five minutes from time when the two rival sets of fans, porras, stormed the pitch, causing nearly 40 injuries.

You may read that as ultras or hooligans, should you so wish.

Sanctions are expected, up to and including a stadium ban.  No word yet.

Can't wait to see this fuck up a major match.  That day is coming, and it's coming fast.
