Here's an 11 year veteran:
Here's a former coach of the Raiders:Games like this make you not even want to watch the NFL. Everyone’s hand is in the pot💰💰. Year in and year out this happens to the Lions... Such CRAP @NFL— Stephen Tulloch (@stephentulloch) October 15, 2019
How about one of the legendary Lions of all time?🤬4 major blown calls tonight , all four went against the Lions. DB going for the INT called for Unnecessary Roughness. A non call on a blatant DPI . Then two ridiculous calls for hands to the face. Refs can’t guess and can’t get these wrong. Lions would’ve won by 2 scores @NFL— Jack Del Rio (@coachdelrio) October 15, 2019
Bill Simmons comes right out on it:That is sickening... the @NFL needs to look at a way to prevent that from happening. Two phantom hands to the face calls really hurts us tonight. Yes, we could have scored TDs, but @Lions played too well to have the game end this way. #DETvsGB @espn— Barry Sanders (@BarrySanders) October 15, 2019
Here's a former Packer, now with the Rams:Hey remember 90 minutes ago when the NFL fixed the Packers-Lions game? That was amazing.— Bill Simmons (@BillSimmons) October 15, 2019
The storyline for the 2019 season continues to be the refs inability to make the accurate and correct calls week in and week out. Al Riveron continues to blindly side with his refs and the current status quo. Something must change! Zero accountability. ...#throughthewire— Clay Matthews III (@ClayMatthews52) October 15, 2019
Here's someone from CBS, forgetting this is exactly the designed result for the reason he's listing:
And Jerry Jones chimes in with the obvious and correct answer, through The Athletic's Cowboys beat writer Jon Machota:NFC North:— Will Brinson (@WillBrinson) October 15, 2019
Packers 5-1
Vikings 4-2
Bears 3-2
Lions 2-2-1
NFC North (if Lions win)
Lions 3-1-1
Packers 4-2
Vikings 4-2
Bears 3-2
The NFL refs inability to get basic calls correct are literally the difference between first place and last place for the Lions.
Jerry Jones isn’t bothered that more are talking about officiating in last night’s Packers-Lions game than the play on the field: “The calls were the subject of most of the talk after the ball game. And they’re the talk this morning. As long as they’re talking, keep it going.”— Jon Machota (@jonmachota) October 15, 2019
