Remember this?
Nate Diaz's fight with Jorge Masvidal, which was to main-event UFC 244, is history.
USADA is claiming Diaz popped positive, and he's PISSED.
I forecast a lawsuit in short order.Your all on steroids not me pic.twitter.com/ykrZmRIoPS— Nathan Diaz (@NateDiaz209) October 24, 2019
Now, why would I not do my usual and assume Diaz did something stupid? Two reasons...
First, see both things above. Diaz's position is STILL that he's the only clean fighter in UFC, and that basically everybody else is juicing. The questions he asks in the longer statement he made in his Tweet are actually valid ones: Why would he go along with it and THEN get the result overturned to a no-contest and then made to look doubly like a fucking idiot, juicer, and fraud? (Am I right, Brock Lesnar??!!)
Second, I've made a bit of print in this blog saying that Dana White is a cover-up artist to allow these fights to take place, pocket the PPV cash, and then laugh as the result is overturned, etc. and so forth and so on...
ESPN just paid UFC over $2 billion to be the exclusive PPV and most-of-content home for UFC programming, taking the latter from FOX. Do you think Dana White is going to want a hothead like Diaz claiming that the fighters are all fighting illegally under the laws of the state in which they are supposed to be fighting via a commission?
This is either an exposition of Diaz as a fraud and a cheat -- or it's a cover-up on the part of Dana and the UFC.
As I said, I'm 70-30 that they're up to something to discredit Diaz here. Stay tuned.
