Speaking of rigged games, someone pissed off the Dept. of Justice...

As part of a wide-ranging Mob scheme the Feds busted up, Benjamin Bifalco was apparently caught attempting to offer an unnamed team thousands of dollars to intentionally lose a Division I college basketball game last season (December of 2018).

Again, as I keep telling people:  It is completely legal for the sanctioning body to fix it's own events.  It is NOT legal for any other party to attempt to so influence.  Bifalco is, correctly, being charged with attempted sports bribery.

When Bifalco allegedly told an associate of his plan, his associate said he was not going to take part and attempt to bet on the game, as he didn't trust the situation.

He was right.  The favorite and team that Bifalco was trying to influence to win and cover the spread did not cover.
