- Again, thank you to my anonymous friend for an update on a tragic story: Part of the message Shannon Spruill (Daffney) left on the last night of her life, according to TMZ, was to have her brain donated for CTE research in the CTE Center in Boston. This not only basically confirms suicide, but CTE-laced suicide. DAMMIT!!!
- For the "crime" of forcing several contact tracing students of a COVID positive in an Arizona school (Newsweek does not differentiate whether the positive was a student or teacher), three adults with zip-ties attempted a citizen's arrest of principal Diane Vargo.
- And now we have clear admission of the "right to infect" on the Right side: Here's what Tucker Carlson said, in response to increasing pressure for the COVID vaccine, last night (from MSN):
"So in good conscience, they've risked their careers to preserve their right to bodily autonomy, and now they're in jail for that. Now these arrests will be used to justify digital health passports for the entire American population, that is true. Save this tape. In fact Cyrus Vance has already enlisted big tech to help root out the disobedient in New York," he said.
Tucker then quoted Vance, who pointed out that "Making, selling and purchasing forged vaccination cards are serious crimes, with serious public safety consequences."
Then he continued: "Buying a faked vaccination card is not a quote 'serious crime,' it's not even close to a serious crime. Buying a fake vaccination card is an act of desperation, by decent, law abiding Americans who have been forced into a corner by tyrants."
"You know what's a serious crime," he continued. "Forcing Americans to take drugs they don't need or want. That's a very serious crime. And let's hope, in the end, someone is punished for it."
- For the second time in a week, I've been put in Facebook jail (3 days this time) for telling some of these fascists that they're going to need to shoot me if they want the type of country they want. (Note: I am NOT telling them I will do something to them -- though that may eventually become necessary to beat some sense into these fuckers... I am only saying that their brand of liberty WILL require my death.) THIS KIND OF STATEMENT IS WHY. I'll probably have a longer post on the general subject of the American Taliban and it's complete bastardization of the entire situation. But the fact is is that Tucker Carlson is basically saying anyone not only demanding action to stop this virus, but not actively promoting it's SPREAD, should be arrested.
- And don't me started on that bullshit in Texas!!! If I don't get this blog blocked for what I eventually say about that, the chances are that I didn't get my point across.
- John Sterling was nearly killed Wednesday night by the New York flooding when he got stuck in the water on the way home. He had to be saved by the Spanish-language Yankees announcer Rickie Ricardo. (Yes, that is his name...)
- Michael Kay has been forced to relocate to Fordham University when he couldn't get home.
- Racist incidents directed at non-White England players in Hungary during the first UEFA World Cup qualifier. England won 4-0.
- For the first time in the apparent recorded history of such affairs (Elias Sports Bureau says they started tracking pitch counts in 1985), the Marlins and Mets each hit a first-pitch home run against the other in the same game.
- Trevor Bauer is having his administrative leave extended yet again, according to reports. Another report earlier this week, however, indicates he's "digging in his heels", preparing for eventual MLB discipline. Another week, Sept. 10.
- We've lost two former NFL'ers in the last 24 hours. David Patten, who got three (Brady-rigged) Super Bowls with the Patriots, gone this morning at 47, motorcycle crash.
- And Keith McCants, gone to a suspected overdose, the #4 1990 draft pick was 53.
- The NHL players have reached an agreement to play in Beijing next winter at the Olympic Games. However, vaccinations will be required.
- The Big XII is trying to save itself -- the latest plan reported appears to be four schools added, including Houston and BYU.
