Day 486

  • A good night for at least a couple reasons in Vegas:  Maybe we can finally be rid of Conor McGregor after injuring his leg in the main event...
  • And Greg Hardy got KTFO'd in one of the undercard matches.
  • Argentina beat Brazil for the Copa America.  England and Italy at Wembley today for the Euro 2021 title.
  • More homophobic chants for the Mexican fans at the Gold Cup opener Saturday night in Texas.  Match had to be stopped twice, and the chants just got worse.  Mexico and Trinidad and Tobago drew scoreless in the start of the group stage.  United States opens with Haiti in Kansas City tonight.  It is at least the third consecutive CONCACAF match for Mexico this summer which was stopped under discrimination protocols at least twice.
  • USA defeated Haiti 1-0.
  • Ronald Acuna Jr. is DONE FOR THE YEAR with an ACL.  Complete tear of the ACL during the game today with the Marlins.
  • Yokozuna Hakuho is undefeated at Day 8 of the July tournament -- he's 8-0.
  • But his main challenger, Ozeki and Yokozuna Candidate (and winner of the last two tournaments in Hakuho's absence) Terunofuji is also 8-0.
  • 2021 Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama has suffered a bout of the coronavirus and will be unable to play in next week's (British) Open Championship.
  • Fan incident at the Euro 2021 Final as fans tried to get in the stadium and into restricted areas hours before kickoff.
  • And then racist slurs hurled at English players...
  • And the predictable penalties disappointment as Italy wins the European Championship after a 1-1 draw.
  • Child Sex Blotter #1:  Barkevious Mingo has been fired by the Atlanta Falcons after being charged with indecent contact with a minor under the age of 17.
  • Child Sex Blotter #2:  Travis Fulton, holding the record for most professional MMA fights, after pleading guilty to child porn and enticing at least two underage girls to have sex with him, killed himself today.
  • JUST KEEP GIVING THE RIGHTIES IN THIS COUNTRY AMMO, YOU FUCKERS...
