Week 6 Fine Blotter

  • New York Giants:  Damontre Moore:  $20,000 for a game-changing roughing the passer penalty.  At least his third in three NFL seasons.
  • Miami Dolphins:  Olivier Vernon, TWO TIME LOSER, both for hits roughing Marcus Mariota.  $20,000 for a head shot, another $17,363 for a late, low one.  How that wasn't about $60,000 or more, I have no idea.  Apparently because of the low cheapie, Mariota is now injured and out for this week.
  • Seattle Seahawks:  Kam Chancellor:  $23,152 for spearing.
  • Kansas City Chiefs:  Steven Nelson:  $17,363 for roughing the passer.
  • Houston Texans:  Kevin Johnson:  $8,681 for a face mask.
  • New York Jets:  Quincy Enunwa:  Four game suspension, 2014 domestic violence arrest.
Let's toss an NBA one in here, for something similar to an NFL fine:
  • Miami Heat:  Gerald Green:  $25,000 fine from the NBA for four "menacing gestures".
In a pre-season game, Green sank two fourth-quarter three-points with less than six minutes to go, punctuating each with a gun and a throat-slash.
