Super Bowl Last Man Standing: First Half Thoughts

  • Ads have a VERY HEAVY celebrity bend this year, as well as the crypto and sportsbooks.
  • Good to see Dolly Parton still up and around at 75 -- but the question is, how many phones could she fit there?
  • As for the game...  Not that much to talk about on my ends, except a couple things:
  • Refs seem to be letting go a couple extra cheap shots on the ends of plays for both teams.  We'll see if they're still that generous on those hits after plays on "apparent runners", etc. as the game winds down.
  • Only three penalties.  A delay of game and a false start on the Rams -- and it sounds like an unsportsmanlike conduct on the Matthew Stafford arm-punt (hmmm... didn't want to get it to 6 or even back to 10, NFL???) for a non-roster player getting involved in the celebration!
  • But the key play of the first half, as far as my angles go:  Probably the "botched snap", maybe to the point of a "slop play" (we'll see how the 2nd half develops) on the extra point after the second Rams TD to keep the game at an easier number to tie.
  • So 13-10 at the half, and I'm not watching Snoop Shitt.  Laying down for about 20-25 minutes.
  • And word, during the first half:  Adrian Peterson has been arrested for domestic violence.  AGAIN.
