Day 660

  • Doug Emhoff, the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris (and, hence, the nation's "Second Gentleman") was escorted out of a Washington, DC high school this afternoon due to an apparent bomb threat.  The school was evacuated.  Harris was not present at the event, a meet and greet with students for Black History Month.  No word on whether anything was found, either.
  • The A&E series on Hugh Hefner has taken another dark turn, with at least one former Playmate claiming she was a "drug mule" for cocaine for the Playboy head.
  • Deshazor Everett of the Washington Commanders, involuntary manslaughter charge in the December 23rd death of his girlfriend, going at least twice the 45 MPH speed limit in a crash with injured him and killed the girlfriend.
  • There is SOME discussion that, given the right situation, Tom Brady could be back.  He's happy with the decision to retire, but "never say never".  You almost HAVE TO THINK it's eating at a lot of people that he's not going out with another Lombardi.
  • NBA trade deadline today, and it appears James Harden is in Operation Shutdown mode, and has been held out of tonight's game...
  • And then there's the Wallace situation as well.
  • San Jose Barracuda forward Krystof Hrabik has been banned 30 games by the AHL for monkey-like racist gestures toward another player.  He would be eligible to come back right about the end of the regular season.  Hello?  Fire him????
  • Boston's Brad Marchand has been one of the league's cheapest players and dirtiest players for a long time.  A cheap punch and a stick swing against the Pittsburgh goalie at the end of Monday night's game will draw an in-person, and Olbermann thinks it should be worth 20.
