Day 655

  • A major incident at last night's AEW Dynamite taping in Chicago.  No, I'm not talking about MJF beating CM Punk dirty twice in his hometown.  That's called "fucking heel heat".
  • What I am talking about is the surfacing of disgusting anti-Semitic posts from AEW talent (and former Interim WWE Champion) Brian Kendrick.  Kendrick was removed from last night's card, where he was supposed to debut in a match with former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, upon discovery of the posts.
  • The USA and Mexico both took major steps last night to advancing to Qatar 2022.  The USA beat Honduras 3-0, while an 80th minute penalty got Mexico past Panama 1-0.  Canada still tops the group, and is still undefeated, after a 2-0 win at El Salvador.  Three rounds remain.
  • Even as Brady has not forgiven Belichick, Belichick gave Brady the GOAT tag on the way out.
  • Sighs of relief in Wolverine-land:  It appears Jim Harbaugh is staying at the University of Michigan.
  • A 49ers fan is in a medically-induced coma today -- you guessed it, he had the "gall" to be an opposing fan at SoFi last Sunday and got in an incident.  Fucking assholes might as well make it like some European soccer stadiums, which I do think have "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here" at the gates.
  • A Congressional hearing on Dan Snyder and his misconduct as owner of the now-Washington Commanders has gained two more allegations of full-scale sexual assault against him by a female employee.
  • One of the reasons, to clarify, that I said in the Flores Lawsuit Day 2 post above that a full light on this could cripple the NFL -- it won't kill it... -- is because if a full housecleaning occurs in the NFL, that's at least three owners who, now, have to go.  And Denver's is already selling in the first place!  Can you say...  "Buyers' Market"???
  • And an irony of this, given Flores' lawsuit (or at least the Rooney Rule part of it) is that the Commanders' team president, Jason Wright, is the only Black team president in the entire league.
  • Giving an indication as to how poorly MLB/MLBPA negotiations are going -- here come the calls for an NLRB mediator.
