- Setting up a number of different posts on the blog for today. This one will probably cover the pre-game, etc., to a certain extent.
- As of about 6 AM Pacific (and all this will be through Vegas Insider): Seems to be some slight money coming in toward the home team, the Rams. BetMGM, the Peppermill, and the South Point have joined PointsBet at LA -4 1/2. The rest are -4, FanDuel is up to 12 cents juice on the dollar, the Superbook probably taking the most money on the Bengals, down to 5 cents juice on the dollar (normal is 10).
- PointsBet has moved the total to 49, as has Treasure Island (though the TI is taking an absurd -120 on the -4 1/2 and the 49)... Everyone else is still 48 1/2.
- At about 10:30 AM, it appears more money is coming in on the Rams. Only Draft Kings, the Atlantis, and Treasure Island are left at -4. Everyone else is -4 1/2. Caesar's has also moved the total to 49.
- 28 NFL experts were polled by NFL.com for the game score and the like. 14 went each way. One actually believes Joe Burrow will win the MVP, throw four touchdown passes, AND be sacked eight times.
- 11 AM, the South Point makes the first move to LA -5. The TI is trying to hold -4 at -130 odds, so that's not going to hold much longer. (By 12:15, back to LA -4 1/2 at the South Point)
- And about 25 minutes before kickoff, it sounds like a solid LA -4 1/2 48 1/2 total. My state does not have legal sports gambling anyway.
The truth is not what actually happened. It's what you can ENFORCE happened. It's ALL enforcement.
