It is an International Olympic Committee tradition to formally invite the youth of the world of every National Olympic Committee one year before an Olympic Games.
The IOC announced on Friday it will NOT extend the olive branch to the instigators of the war in Ukraine, so it appears, once again, Russia and Belarus will be disqualified, with the caveat of individual athlete participation case-by-case.
A third country has also been disqualified from the Games: Guatemala, for governmental interference.
