- Three Detroit Tigers combined on a no-hitter today, 2-0 over the Blue Jays.
- And the Elly de la Cruz show continues: The rookie phenom, after an RBI single, became the first Cincinnati Red in over a century to steal all three other bases on the diamond -- and he only needed two pitches to do it!! This is the effect of the new Pace of Play rules too!
Other stuff:
- Megan Rapinoe is retiring from soccer after this year.
- A fighter on the UFC pay-per-view tonight had to be quickly pulled, as it was found out he had a rare brain condition which could cause blockage of arteries to his brain. He's a rookie to the circuit and was never checked fully for a CAT scan in any of his previous fights.
- 50,000 marched on London today for transgender rights...
- ... on the same day the Sixth Circuit reaffirmed Tennessee's material ban on the practice
- and Ron DeSantis gleefully signed the most restrictive bathroom bill in the nation. Gee, any surprises at all that the three main teams in MAGALB this year appear to be Tampa, Cobb County, and Houston?
- A BBC host has been yanked from the air after discovery of a $30,000 payment for apparent underage nudes, according to The Sun.
- And, according to tomorrow's howling from the British tabloid, returned the favor in his underwear.
- There is now an early-development report on a sixth movie in the The Purge horror series. The producer of this movie is actually going to remap America based on ideological differences, not unakin to that which currently exists in the real-life United States. This is one of the reasons I've referred to the series a number of times on this blog. I do believe it is a desired reality of the future of America, especially on the Nazi White Right.
