  • Panama eliminates the United States from the Gold Cup.  Penalties after a 1-1 draw.
    • Panama will play Mexico in the final.
    • Jamaica and the United States will rematch, but for third place.

  • Pat McAfee used the opening monologue to blast Skip Bayless' beliefs on the playoff implications of the cancellation of the Damar Hamlin game.  You think that the game was cancelled, when even games like when Ryan Shazier was permanently paralyzed were allowed to continue, tells you something?   
  • The SAG-AFTRA strike is officially on.  Hollywood is now completely shut down.  And people are going to find out how little both the writers AND the actors are going to be needed in an AI-driven entertainment industry.  (Speaking of AI with the news point above...)
