- He's not only had his Gonzaga tickets revoked for refusing to wear a mask inside the arena...
- ... he actually has had the gall to state over 100 professional athletes have died to the COVID vaccine.
facepalm
- PK Subban has asked for a full investigation and work on racism in hockey after his brother, an ECHL player, was the target of a racial taunt by another player -- who was thrown off of/fired from the team for it.
- Bobby Hurley was fined $20,000 by the Pac-12 for a confrontation with one of the officials after a three-point loss at Stanford for his Arizona State team. He and a player who both confronted the official have been banned one game for the situation. (Why there weren't multiple technicals for it, I have no idea.) A third player was reprimanded. Think that suspension for the coach should've been at least two, at least one for failure to control his players.
- Free throw attempts were 41-9 in favor of Stanford. Yeah, I'd say either you got problems with your team or that game was obviously rigged.
- AFC title game early, NFC title game late on Sunday.
- Dick Vitale is done for the college basketball season. Surgery to remove more polyps from his vocal cords. Dammit, for him -- why especially THERE???
- SOME progress in today's talks for Major League Baseball...
- ... as the door will officially slam shut on Bonds and Clemens tomorrow. If anybody, it sounds like Ortiz gets in. ... and OH LET THAT CAN OF WORMS OPEN.
- A crowd crush in Cameroon at the African Cup of Nations has killed at least six, and probably far more.
- And Final Jeopardy bites her in the ass again. Amy Schneider won match #39 cleanly by basically routing the two opponents in Double Jeopardy -- but a miss on the Field Museum of Chicago cost her $25,000 (each way, so $50,000 total) -- so she does pass Amodio for #2 streak of all time, but still is having a bit of trouble converting as an ultra/megachamp would.
