It starts with probably one of the best tag teams of the last five years. FTR was about to have their AEW contracts expire, and a major bidding war was ensuing.
That bidding war ended over Wrestlemania Weekend with Vince's re-emergence. FTR, who believes in wrestling over theatrics ("No Flips, Just Fists") re-signed with AEW, and won a Titles vs. Career match over The Gunn Family for another reign as AEW World Tag Team Champions.
But a bigger signing preceded it by a couple hours: New Japan champion Jay White has also chosen AEW over WWE.
Also, Nigel McGuinness and a major young PR gun behind the scenes also jumped to AEW this week.
And also word that Jim Johnston, the long-time entrance-music producer for WWE, wants to make music for AEW wrestlers.
And then the HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT for Tony Khan: Wembley PPV in August: All In London.
AEW has admittedly been on the back foot -- and, although this is only one week, it's a HUGE WEEK. We'll see what happens next -- but it was AEW that seemed to have the Raw After Mania feeling.
