Day 274

  • Scary moment today in the Florida-Florida State college basketball game today.  Coming out of the first television timeout, Keyontae Jackson of the Gators collapsed on the floor, not unakin to Hank Gathers.  Originally declared "critical but stable", the game was resumed and Florida State won.
  • Sarah Fuller's story in Vanderbilt continues.  She became the first woman to score in a Power 5 game, kicking a first-quarter extra point.  A later 39 yard field goal was kicked by the regular kicker.
  • Add Charley Pride to the 2020 In Memoriam list.  Complications of the coronavirus.
  • Announced this week:  Pretty much the end of college football on CBS, as ESPN is getting the SEC in a 10-year deal when the current CBS deal runs out. (2024)
  • Arizona completed a dismal season by being run out of the stadium 70-7 by Arizona State.  Their coach was fired today.
  • Something to do this weekend:  For the 97th birthday of Bob Barker, Pluto.tv is dropping about half of the 1982-83 season in a 100-hour drop of new episodes, and then will repeat those.  Channel 163 on the free binge-streaming website Pluto.tv on their new classic TPiR channel -- 163.
  • One of the highlights?  The debut of Plinko.
