Scary news from LA earlier in the week as Vin Scully took a fall and was hospitalized.
Great news tonight, though!!!
...”I am so eternally grateful for their help and selfless service. I’m home resting comfortably with my wife and we are both eagerly awaiting the Time for Dodger Baseball!”
Another piece of good news: The NFL Draft was this weekend -- and much of it was turned into a three-day telethon for various COVID-19 relief chartities. At the end of the Draft, Roger Goodell (who WAS virtually booed at his first appearance on the show -- ha ha!!) announced that private and NFL Family contributions to COVID-19 relief charities had already exceeded $100,000,000.
Perhaps the fact that the NFL Draft was the first meaningful sporting event in weeks led the NFL Draft to record viewership. Over 15,600,000 people watched Round 1 on the ESPN family of networks. Even 8,200,000 watched Round 2 and 3 Friday night! (Sports Media Watch)
