Updates:
- Champions League and Europa League and Euro 2020 now suspended indefinitely. It was hoped they could get it done by the end of player contracts in June.
- MLB has cancelled plans for a 2020 London Series.
- Ohio State is now online-only through the SUMMER term.
- And, as applies in the periodic nature of my reporting, I have word from the Simulated Sports Network on Social Distancing Super Bowl V:
- AFC Divisionals: Kansas City over New England and Baltimore over the Jets.
- NFC Divisionals: Green Bay over Minnesota and Philadelphia over San Francisco
- AFC Championship: Baltimore (14-2) over Kansas City (12-4) 28-24
- NFC Championship: Green Bay (15-1) over Philadelphia (14-2) 26-20
- Social Distancing Super Bowl V: And the Green Bay Packers are going to be... World Champions! Super Bowl and NFL MVP (5262 yards passing during the regular season) Aaron Rodgers threw for four touchdowns and the Packers beat the Ravens 38-27 in a replay of the 2013 NFL season.
- New season has started. Six minute quarters, and last year's rosters again.
- Crap. Found out about this too late: CBS had an hour in-home studio with Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood!
And this one gets a little bit north of "I Gotta Do This."
We start with one of the most unusual ads for this year's Wrestlemania. Obviously, this was at least shot before all the coronavirus chaos and all that stuff, but the dates reflect the change to the current situation. This is a South African PPV commercial for the event.
Can't embed the video, because it's only on Reddit, but here's the Reddit post, go watch the video and come back.
The woman in the video is South African rapper-performer Sho Madjozi. Last year, she released "John Cena" as a multi-lingual single in South Africa, and received so much acclaim and viral attention, she was asked to come to America and "The Kelly Clarkson Show" to perform it!
She said she had never met Cena before, and, well, if you know Cena, you know the rest:
