Day 41

  • Blame the Final Fantasy VII Remake (and I did keep my promise not to buy it -- my nephew Eddie -- thank you! -- provided some safer-at-home entertainment!), but I am behind in posting Olbermann for last night...

  • It appears any launch of Minor League Baseball will only have 120 teams left in the entire system.  Sounds like Manfred's goal to gut the minor leagues has succeeded, and the deal will be cut tomorrow, per Olbermann.
  • The XFL Commissioner Oliver Luck has sued Vince McMahon for wrongful termination.  What the fuck?  And here's the other reason that a lot of potential lawsuits might not succeed:  The XFL wasn't doing that badly before this whole new reality hit the table!  It COULD HAVE survived.
  • Not the only problem Vince is having these days. An unnamed WWE employee associated with the filming of one or more of the weekly shows has said he wants the county in which the WWE Performance Center -- where all WWE wrestling programming is being taped at this point -- to be forced to stop all filming, due to fears that the coronavirus is actually circulating. The WWE denies the claim and is probably going to fire the person for trying to put this through the media and the public, rather than HR.
  • Probably the last thing people need to worry about right now, with all the situations -- so file this one away if there's an NFL season this year...  But are they beginning to actually think of giving Tampa Bay a championship?  Tampa Bay just traded for (current WWE 24/7 champion!) Rob Gronkowski to go with Brady.
  • The cover athlete of Madden 21 has been revealed:  Baltimore's Lavar Jackson.
