Day 42 -- SIX WEEKS NOW?

I guess.  And I am, again, an Olbermann behind:

  • Mayor of Las Vegas has had enough of the shutdown.  All fine and good.  I get the conception that Vegas is basically completely kaput in a few weeks or a couple of months if not reopened.  But if the virus actually gets to completely dictate the timeline, Vegas is done -- and so is about 2/3 of the US population, over the course of time.
  • Evidence?  Unemployment figures for Southern California:  An admitted unemployment rate of THIRTY-ONE PERCENT.  (Meaning that about a quarter of all jobs in this state have been, minimum, put on hold.)
  • Pending the PGA Tour's approval, we apparently are going to have "The Match" II.  Tiger Woods vs. Phil Mickelson, with partners Peyton Manning (for Tiger) and Tom Brady (for Phil).  Undisclosed location, no fans, effectively the match is a telethon for coronavirus relief efforts.  Proposed for Memorial Day Weekend on TNT.
And I know it's 4 AM Thursday, but here's Wednesday night's Olbermann to get caught up:
