Huge story going on under the radar which might finally kill horse racing in this country.

It's taken well into the back seat with all the coronavirus coverage, but there is a scandal in American horse racing to report.

Federal prosecutors Monday indicted 27 trainers for drugging their horses to illegally win horse races around the world...

... including, to no one's shock, the trainer of Maximum Security, the first-ever horse disqualified from winning the Kentucky Derby.

I said it the day it happened - the way the horse was allowed to act, I really felt he'd kill the other horses (and more than a few jockeys) to get it done.

Another defendant, Jorge Navarro, led a horse to win the $1.5 million first prize in a major race in Dubai...  only to, at least authorities allege, drug that horse straight into a fatal heart attack!

It is not believed, at this point, that any of the indictments are involved in the mass horse deaths at Santa Anita the last 18 months.
